Jeff Wayne’s musical version of the book. I’ve been doing monitor on that, and let me tell you – it’s been a lesson. The man himself knows his piece by heart – and mixing for him was a challenge. But it’s all fun as well. I’ve learnt a lot, I’ve stressed a lot – but I’m very happy I’ve done it.
Now I’m off on tour again. Another Rock&Roll show with acto-musos on it. Shall be fun. 😉
…and I’m back on tour again. After fantastic holiday in Argentina (check my private blog on BlogSpot) I’m touring Dreamboats & Miniskirts. Nice and easy show with music from 60’s and 70’s. Seems like whoever comes to see it goes out with a massive grim on their faces. It’s good, cos it makes me feel better.
We touring UK, small places, but some of ’em I always wanted to see, so that’s a bonus.
I’m mixing on PM1D – must say – old but still fascinating console from Yamaha. It’s been in the business from 1996 and it is still there in 2015. That say something, doesn’t it?
I’ll sneak in a cheeky picture here and there from the tour, so keep checking the site. 😉
So. I’m off on The Blood Brothers tour.
8 weeks as sound no. 2. I really look forward to it – hope to learn a lot and meet new sound designers. And of course, enjoy the show. Will be good. I’ll post some pics here once in full swing.
The Blood Brothers Tour
This Friday at Kindl Stuben, Berlin, I will be playing some sexy and deep set for house music lovers.
Come and enjoy occasional drink and a little dance – it’s gonna be hot regardless of the weather.
So we won – the best off west end musical, I’m very proud and I’m happy for all involved. I guess we deserved it working very hard to make it so amazing in such extremely difficult conditions and such tight budget.
So we’re just before the last show of 2012
I’m excited to see what 2013 performances will be like. I’ll be perfecting sound design on the show – got few ideas.
Let’s see if they work.
Happy New Year to all.
Taboo in Brixton
So there we are, coming to the end of the first part of the Taboo run…
It’s been challenging, stressful, fun… I’m looking forward to the new/old cast. New challenges, more fine tuning… Let’s do it…
